We work closely with our client and intumescent coating manufacturers to analyse plans and drawings to produce a steel loading report for each job, ensuring that the correct amount of intumescent coating is applied to meet the fire protection requirements for each job. During application, we will also test all wet film thicknesses to guarantee that the correct amount of material is being applied.
When the intumescent coating is dry we will then use a Positector coating thickness gauge to make sure that all specified dry film thicknesses are correct. All readings are stored and presented in a report at completion of the works. This strict record keeping ensures peace of mind that all intumescent coatings have been applied correctly and to the manufacturers specification.
