External Cladding Refurbishment – Industrial Unit
Overview
JWS Coatings UK was contracted to carry out a complete external respray of the cladding system on a two-storey industrial unit. The client required a specification-led colour change to enhance visual uniformity and align the facility with brand identity guidelines.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces were mechanically cleaned to remove existing oxidation, contaminants, and weathering. Abrasion was carried out as required to key the substrate and promote adhesion. Adjacent areas were masked using exterior-grade sheeting to prevent overspray onto fixtures and glazing.
Application
A high-performance cladding topcoat system was applied using air-assisted spraying methods. The coating system selected offers high UV resistance and colour stability, suited to exposed external environments. All works were completed using MEWPs to access elevated areas, with operations phased to maintain safe working areas and vehicle access.
Result
The unit’s cladding was fully resprayed with accurate colour demarcation between feature bands and window reveals. The finish delivers long-term protection against corrosion and weather exposure, improving both lifespan and visual consistency. All works were completed to programme, with no disruption to ongoing site operations.
